Hi several years ago I had an IVA which was successfully completed, unfortunately I have found myself in a lot of debt again and cannot cope and am exploring what options I have. I have 3 dogs, 2 of whom have health issues and visit the vet monthly for treatment and medication. My 9 year old is insured which costs approx. £90 per month, his monthly medication and physiotherapy costs £700-£800 per month which my vet does a direct claim for. My other dogs insurance costs £85.00 a month and his medication is £107 per month. One dog has IBD and the other has suspected IBD so there food costs £65 per month. What is the likelihood of my creditors allowing me to continue with my dogs insurance? Do you have other cases where pet insurance of this value has been accepted or it simply £30.00 for all pets and that's it?

The guideline figures are merely that, guidelines. They can be upped by agreement -- but,you have to get that agreement first. That will depend on the relative figures. If, after everyting has been included, the creditors are still getting a reasonable return, they will be more minded to agree to the insurance. Also, the first hurdle, many IP's have differing views and, as a consequence, will lend different levels of support.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I had three dogs during my IVA, all insured and I was allowed this. To be fair, my dogs had no medical issues (apart from dental treatment) so don't know if this would make a difference.

I got a generous allowance for the two cats I claimed for - I don't know what would happen if dogs had puppies etc and the number changed 'after' IVA commencement, but if you have them before its all allowed in, don't know about you, but I find pets are better than people
IVA complete March 2014 after 6 years.

She just needs cheaper dog food without Paypal being involved.

Wrong thread I think Kallis! My pet budget was questioned on my data gather as his insurance, cat litter and special food was put down as about £45 per month. When the proposal was sent to me, I noticed they had upped my food budget and dropped the pet budget. It all balanced the same for me.
