Hi,
In our IVA it says that once my youngest child is in full time school then I will seek a part time job.

1) Am I right in thinking that they are asking me to find work but they can’t enforce it? I have 3 children and no child care so unless it was a term time only job I would be paying child care costs. Husband works very long hours and can commute quite a distance depending on where he is based.

2) Would all of the income I earn then go in to the IVA? So I would be working for no gain?

Thank you

I don't think they can make you, especially if you are going to be worse off. Get in touch and ask the question.

They are entitles to enforce the terms of the cotract, to which you agreed .... in this case, that you seek work. They cannot force you to take a job that would not fit with family, or be financially viable. By looking you are doing what you agreed.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Thank you both. I thought that this would be the case.
