Just wanted to share and give others hope for post IVA.

I’ve had a basic account with Nationwide for about 10 years, first when I started a DMP and then throughout my IVA. The account has served me very well.

My IVA finished in March 2018 and dropped off the CRA’s in April 2018. I haven’t done anything to try and re-build my credit rating and at the moment is a low/poor score with all agencies.

A couple of days ago I had an email from NW offering me an account upgrade and I now have a ‘proper’ bank account for the first time in years.

After 3 months I will be eligible for one of their credit cards so I just wanted to give other people who are still in their IVA’s a bit of hope.

We waited until our IVA had dropped off and went into our branch and it was sorted straight away.

I thought I’d do the same, do you know usually how long it takes for the IVA to be removed from your credit file? Is this something we should chase or does it usually just happen ?
