Hi,

Has anyone had an IVA with Payplan and recently completed? I would like to know how long they are taking to send out from last payment paid out.

Thank you in advance.

Hi there,

I completed by way of a F&F on Nov 7th last year and still have not received my certificate and I am not holding my breath either.

From start to finish, my F&F took fully 8 months due to Payplans incompetence and I fear my wait for the cert is going down the same road..

This Monday, I had a letter stating that despite repeated requests, I still had not sent in my PPI agreement and as such, my completion certificate cannot be processed. There were no repeated requests, just the one letter. Thankfully I keep records of everything and knew to the minute when they received it. When I phoned, the lady lectured me as to why there was a hold up then I asked her to double check her records and to look closely at October 9th.

Oh, she said, we do have it, I'll let the variation team know. And that was that!

This is exactly how my 8 months of trying to get a full and final played out, month after month.

Sorry for ranting, I hope you receive better and faster service than I did.

Hi,

Thank you for the reply. It’s seems like there’s no regulation around when we should receive them. After 6 years done I just want it over and move on. I’ve emailed my IP to find out. I will be emailing regularly to make sure they know last payment has been made. They’ve advised I can stop my standing order after the last payment so they won’t be able to take anymore payments unless they find I owe anything else, which I’m hoping not as always completed annual reviews and payments amount reset each year.

Jayne, as a forum we have tried to petition for regulation on the issue of completion certificates, but the petition was deemed outside of Government business. I have also petitioned for a body to be set up which has the power / authority to mediate between debtors and IP and resolve issues as, currently, the debtor has no voice nor recourse to assistance in disputes. However, both issues got, or are getting , no support.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Hi I was with Payplan and made my final payment in July 2017. Received my certificate in September and discharged from my IVA in October at court.

Good luck in getting your certificate
