I signed up for my IVA with Cleardebt in 2011, my case was then sold onto Aperture in 2015. The process of completing the IVA has been fairly straight forward although I now find myself dealing with a company that is struggling to honour its commitments when closing the IVA and delaying the receipt of the completion certificate, which I was hoping would be a quite painless process. I have been quoted a completion time of between 3 and 6 months and when calling them today 28/11/2017 been told it could exceed the 6 months time frame. Even the process of sending the case to there so called closures team was delayed due to being short staffed which they openly admitted. I feel like existing clients are now being pushed to the back of the line and forgotten about so they can focus on a new portfolio of clients for which they do not have the staff to service. From reading some blogs on here even 3 months sounds excessive for the closure of an IVA so to be waiting in excess of 6 months is very disappointing and in my opinion unacceptable, I have therefore had to resort to writing a letter of complaint recorded delivery and an e-mail to my IP asking what the situation is with my case. Has anybody else been through a similar process and what if any outcome did you have?

This is pretty much standard with Aperture. The only thing you can do now is escalate the complaint to their regulators -- which will outlast the issue of the certificate anyway and result in pretty much nothing for your benefit.

Sadly we hear this all too often on the Forum as many others have been in similar situations.

Best of luck in getting things concluded asap.

I feel your pain, we paid our final payment on August 28th and despite numerous emails to Aperture asking how our closure is coming along the only reply I’ve received is to tell me our file has been passed to the closures team !!! It’s so frustrating after paying promptly every single month for 6 years, complying with there requests promptly and jumping through all there hoops! We just want to put this behind us and move on ... but until we get that CC we are in limbo land

It will happen Jo -- mine was a couple of weeks short of 6 months from Apertures forerunners, but it did arrive !
