Hi, my husband and I have completed our iva and would like to move in the next 18mths. we need some advice regarding mortgages etc. we are still paying a charge on the house, current balance is around £3k paying £75pm and have never missed a payment. our bank said that they would possibly do a mortgage of around £180k although they said we would need to pay off the charge. is this the same for all mortgage lenders? what are the costs approx. of moving/deposits these days etc?? we have only ever been first time buyers (15yrs ago). can we get a normal mortgage? how much do people charge to sort out mortgages? any help will be gratefully received!!
