Hi.

We completed our IVA August 4th, 2017. The Insolvency Register states that you will be listed on it for three months after your completion date.

Anyone know how long it takes them to remove you?

Should I chase it up? It was three months on Saturday, I may be being impatient, but I've been waiting for what seems like forever to start getting my life on track again.

Thanks.

Have you had your completion letter? Depends on when it got to the register.

When you say "completed" -- was this your last payment or the issue of the completion certificate. They remove you three months after the issue of the cetificate --- and if the three months were up on saturday you should disappear the monday following ( they don't work weekends!).

The Completion Certificate was issued August 4th.

August 4th was when we were 'discharged' and the certificate issued.

I expected to be off this this morning but disappointed to see us both listed on there.

Depends on when the IS received their copy and how quickly they update their records. Keep checking and if there is nothing within a few days then contact them.

Hi

Mine dropped off exactly three months from when the insolvency register received the notification that my IVA had ended from CF

Good luck

I contacted the Insolvency register a few weeks ago as I expected my name to drop off 3 months after the completion date, but they responded (very swiftly the next day) to advise it would come off 3 months exactly from the date they are notified of the completion and that this automated. In my case they had been notified 4 days after the date on the certificate and it was 3 months exactly from that date my name was removed. I did this through the report button on my record- it was already showing as completed. I had been checking it daily for about 3 weeks!

It really does, sadly, depend on who you speak to there when you call. We had a Client yesterday who was told the normal 3 months to come off, in the end he rang them 4 times and the last person he spoke to removed it within 24 hours.

Good luck.

When I had my "run in" with them people were coming off within days and they swore black and blue that that never happened, even though I could quote instances daily --- in the end they simply stopped replying to me but I came off three months, to the day, after the certificate was dated.

Well, we are still on the Insolvency Register. Our completion certificate was dated August 4th. The register updated to 'Completed August 4th' so I can only assume our IP had sent them a copy of our CC.
Actually, I asked if they would be doing this and they confirmed that they would be.

Just been on the telephone and I was told I had to send them a copy of our Completion Certificate to be removed!

I can't even contact our IP because they said once we complete we would not be able to contact them about it again.

It is a complete shambles.

Yes, they will have been sent the CC and final reports, which, as you surmise, is why they knew to mark the arrangement as "completed". I would scan the CC and send via the "contact us" link on the register serc results pages. Not sure the person on the phone grasped the reality of what you were saying !

I have to say that the way the Insolvency Service works in general is a complete shambles and totally ineffectual and they appear to provide no "Service" at all!

Thanks Foggy.

I was given an email address to contact and to be honest I've no idea who I just contacted (the email began customerservices.eas@).

I can't see the contact us link on the results page. Just a report an error button.

Yes, sorry - I used the report an error button, (the error being that I was on the Register!) which got me an email response, which I then used (but got no-where!).

Incidentally ---- not being able to contact them after the IVA has completed is more Payplan bunkum --- they still have a duty to respond to queries relating to the case -- they are just being lazy (again).
