Hi. There is a very good chance that they will do a credit check. It will be up to the branch what they do with the result, but be prepared for a refusal.

Hi

I was credit checked just to open up a savings account with the co-op bank. I bank with them and I'm fortunate to have a high paid job..... But it was still a NO !

Good luck tho anyways

Co-op don't like people who are in an IVA having a savings account. You can, however, open up another basic account with them to put any savings in.

As Kallis says, for some reason Co-Op object to IVA'ers saving ! I had two cashminder accounts with them instead.
