We received hubbys completion certificate early April and assumed the debt company would forward it to all parties concerned. I have had to get some defaults removed and both of the companies claim to have not received the certificate. Also I hear that you can contact the Insolvency register to get the name removed earlier than 3 month. Again they had not received anything and it will remain on the register an extra month now because they use the date they receive the certificate to work from not the date the IVA completes.

Has anyone had their name removed quickly from the register? I am sure I have read on here other people doing the same and the name is removed near enough straight away.

I am livid that the debt company appear not to have to sent anything off to anyone and I have had to do all the follow up myself.

It is swings and roundabouts with the Insolvency Service - some get removed sooner than others. You can ask but don't be surprised if it takes the whole three months.

The Insolvency Service quote "up to" three months, sometimes it is days, others three months to the day -- purely the luck of the draw. Defaults drop off anyway on their 6th anniversary and have nothing to do with formal completion of the IVA. If the IVA is marked as completed on the Register they will have been told.

Creditors often claim they don't receive the CC. I think it's more likely they simply don't update their records properly.

You will have to presume it will take up to 3 months to come off the register.

As Foggy says these are two different issues.

You might find this quick video I made about cleaning up your credit record useful:
