Hi everyone
So my proposal is done after such a long wait!!
Had some more questions put on me today which I thought was weird as the proposal is done! Anyway did what they needed so hope it will now be posted!
Next problem is I have a damp problem in my current house (mould etc so not safe for my son) and my landlord has a new house for us to move in to!! At last!!
The rent may be higher and the council tax etc may increase (not drastically maybe £100-120 increase for everything)
Now I am confident by jiggling stuff about & re budgeting food etc I will be able to pay the increase and still have no issue with the IVA payment BUT the question is will I then have to put in a whole new budget?! Because my current IVA meeting may not have even taken place by the time we movr in the first week if Jan I'm so worried moving will mess it all up!
Thank and sorry for the really long post!

Hi,

You will obviously have to update your details and I suggest you speak to your IP company before you move so they can advise on a new I&E.

It sounds like the proposal has not been drafted as yet so get the changes done now. If you know how much the rent will be you can easily find out the council tax and send this information to your IP. If you are moving in a month or two your initial payment can be at the current surplus and reducing as soon as you move. Otherwise you may need a variation later to reduce the payments or find yourself struggling.

The proposal has already been dragged, I'll update them regarding my address when I move but it won't be until the new year now and at this moment in time I don't even know what the rent will be but I have no choice but to move!
I think it will maybe be £50 more then an extra £30 for the change in council tax the thing is my partner we help me cover this so like I said with jiggling things around it shouldn't even affect the surplus. Car tax will be reduced because of the change in area etc.
The thing is they seem to be making my life difficult at the moment and are holding out sending the proposal to me because they are telling me iv been over paid tax credits when I know for a fact that I haven't!
This is causing me so much stress and just before Xmas as well I can't cope!!

Just keep pushing them and make sure they are up to date with all of your changes and keep written copies of emails and letters.

They won't be dragging anything out for their own purposes --- more likely simply down to being under resourced -- they don't start to get paid until you start the IVA.

Thanks all I have just written out a new budget with my new rent and council tax amount on and I have reduced costs where able to cover the increase.
Iv drafted an email to my IP detailing the changes and told her I don't want to go ahead until these changes are put into my proposal may as well start as I mean to go on!!
Hopefully (really hopefully!) the proposal she had done can be easily altered as my workings out show I will have the same surplus as I have covered the £85 increase by reducing food costs (I like a challenge I can budget!) And by completely removing my meals at work cost as I can make meals on a budget with the food shop money to take to work!! I am willing to do everything to make sure it works and I'm not trying to claim I need to reduce the surplus.
Does this seem ok?

It should be OK -- opn the face of it your IP need only amend the I&E figures, as the end result is still the same --- however, don't cut your cloth too thin --- you don't want to make the next few years impossible !

I agree with Foggy that making things too tight could cause a problem. The tax credit issue is an altogether different thing and easily resolved. Your final award notice will detail any overpayment and based on that the IVA can be drafted with this debt included or not.
