Good evening All! Last August I received my certificate of due completion by Aperture after having made my last payment in 2012. However for the past 4 weeks I have been bombarded with letters from another department in Aperture to get in contact with them as they were about to arrange a new meeting. I ignored the letters as I had my certificate of completion to hand. Well today I received a letter saying my IVA had been rejected. What do I need to do? Can it be a mistake?
You need to contact Aperture to find out what this is all about --- even if the initial letter was issued in error the system will proceed as programmed in the absence of a reply.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
Thank you very much for your reply. I will contact them first thing tomorrow morning... can they actually issue a completion certificate by mistake? And where do I stand if so????
Let us know how it goes - I am sure you will be ok.

If it were issued on error and then left until now to follow up I would place a complaint against the IVA company with the ombudsman and would seek full full apology and agreement to accept payment to date to end the iva.
But first talk to them and see if the letters are just an error and no further actiom or worry to be had. Update us later x

There is a solution for everyone .... Just need to stay positive !
Have you checked the insolvency register? If you are no longer there and have your completion certificate and report I cannot see what anyone can do. Creditors have been paid and you have been discharged so unless there was a material irregularity you may be fine. Hopefully it is just a mistake.
I have sent them an Email with both the letters from Mark Allen at Aperture and the IVA completion certificate sent to me on the 24th of August. As many of us I had expected a proper certificate with golden embossed letters but it came as a normal letter stating that he had "issued a certificate of due completion and that there is nothing more to be done under the agreement." The past letters from Aperture have brought it up all back... I'm finding myself back on the Internet looking for someone who has gone through this and how they came out of it. It's very stressful to say the least...Work colleagues think I've had a "heavy" weekend... if only they knew... the good old stigma of having gone through an IVA... it's not good for your health!!!
Good evening All just received this Email.... and feeling relieved...it seems them made a big mistake... somehow I am happy of the outcome however I'm thinking of all of you lovely people and how mistake can sometimes send you over the edge... Here's the reply Email I got this afternoon:
I sincerely apologise for any stress and anxiety caused by the letter you received on Friday. Having received your email and having looked into your complaint, I have established that there was an oversight on our part and we proceeded with a consultation meeting with your creditors in error.
I can confirm that your IVA has completed as per the Certificate of Closure and Completion that you received in August and it has not failed as indicated by the letter you received on Friday. We will send out letters of withdrawal to your creditors withdrawing the consultation meeting that was held in error to remedy this.
I assure you that it is our objective to provide our clients with a high quality service and all assistance possible with regards their IVAs and I sincerely apologise for our error in this case and for all stress caused as a result.
Regards
X
