Hi I have completed iva with f&f 2 years early due to end April 2017 and have had to move due to new job and can't find any agents to except me to rent as iva is found when they credit search me us there anyway of updating it to show complete on my credit file as still shows default and is probably going to affect my chances with new job as 3 estate agents have said no and they don't even know what an iva is as soon as it found on credit checks they are not interested didn't think it would be this hard

Unfortunately the dropping off of the 6 years cannot be brought forward, but what you could always do is try speaking to them and showing them a copy of the certificate of completion, along with a good deposit.

I think sometimes you just have to try and try until someone will be able to help.
Started IVA 27th Feb 2012 - Due to complete 27th Jan 2018 !!

Full & Final submitted and accepted 30th March 2015, paid 10th April 2015 - 3 yrs 1 month into IVA :)

Completion Certificate received- 30th April 2015!!

Hi,

Your IVA should have come off your record as soon as you got your completion letter and any defaults should be marked back to when it started. You need to write to any creditors doing this and ask them to remove the defaults.

Try a private landlord - they don't tend to do credit checks.

private landlords are less likely to carry out credit checks. The answer might be to get a guarantor...
