My IVA finished on 16 March, last payment 16 Feb, CC arrived on 27 Feb.

Two issues:

1) my current account is as the Co-Op bank. My wife has a savings account there. We thought it would be efficient to have my name added to the savings account this month. Form signed by us both and sent off, 2 weeks later....rejection letter! They quoted that Experian had flagged something, so off I go, reactivate my Experian membership for £15 to find......nothing untoward, everything had dropped off!

2) I've been checking the other two CRA's for the last six months watching the defaults drop off. So this month (like new report today) Clearscore suddenly decide to include the IVA as new information!

Hacked off, rude phone calls to follow!

I would suggest going into a branch and sorting it out there together with your completion letter.

Hi, I applied by phone for a saver account with Co-op ( I have a cashminder account)after I started my IVA. The girl on the phone said I had been rejected but it had been referred to the underwriters, I asked if it was worth the bother as I was IVA, she said you may as well try and I was approved, perhaps just ring and explain?

Was it a savings account recovering or just a normal cashminder? Co-op are known for refusing a savings account for those who are in an IVA as you are not supposed to have savings as far as they are concerned.

We had a coop savings account in our iva. Still have it. No issues. I agree that in branch is better.
