Ok so im half way through my iva. Im in a privatley rented property with a couple of pets. My other half has just bought a house and wants me to move in- great. My problem being is that it is hard enough to find somewhere to rent with pets as it is let alone in an iva. What if it doesnt work out and im out trying to find somewhere again- basically homeless. Just thought i would ask for some advice and peoples experiences for reasurance. My anxiety is sky high about this....

It's hard with no guarantees - I'm afraid it comes don to how secure you think the relationship is.

Also, have a formalised written rental agreement with your other half until you complete your IVA.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

Ignore the IVA and make the decision based on the relationship - if you have concerns then maybe the timing isn't quite right.

But don't put you life on hold due to 'what if?'s'...

I would love to ignore the iva. My other half does say it would be our home but it would still be in the back of my mind that he could ask me to leave at anytime with it being his house in his sole name. Can i risk being homeless?

Have you thought about initially staying at his house a few days a week, say over weekends, and seeing how that goes first, then if you feel a bit more stable you could take the leap ?

Their is never any certainties in life, but if you don't try something different you'll never know, but if it doesn't feel right then go with your gut.
Started IVA 27th Feb 2012 - Due to complete 27th Jan 2018 !!

Full & Final submitted and accepted 30th March 2015, paid 10th April 2015 - 3 yrs 1 month into IVA :)

Completion Certificate received- 30th April 2015!!

That's not much different from renting or buying a house together - when a relationship ends someone has to move.

Yes no point worrying about something that hasn't and may never happen.

Best of luck.
