IVA complete after 6 years Feb 2015, CC arrived April 2015.
Been looking through my Credit Reference Files and all cleared except from GE Money.
Account Started Nov 2007, absorbed into IVA Feb 2009, Credit report showing settled Apr 2015, Account Closed May 2015.
Since Aug 2009 account showing as more than 6 months behind in payments right up until the settlement date of Apr 2015, does not seem to report a default date on Noddle?
I have contacted GE Money and asked them to remove this from my credit file and was told that they are in compliance with the rules set out by the Financial Ombudsman, so wont do anything about this showing on my credit file!!
Am I worrying over nothing, as I cant see a default date just years of Payments more than 6 months behind then settled or as my credit file shows all these payments (68 of Them)as more than 6 months behind will this be affecting my credit file and ability to get credit? If so how can I go about forcing GE Money to remove this record?
Unfortunately they cannot be forced to default the account as far as I am aware. On the plus side they are showing it as settled rather than partially settled, so the impact on your credit rating should be minimised.
I would be inclined to contact the F.O just in case they are interested, rather than take GE's word for it.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
