I have been contracted now for nearly 4 years and its about time to move from umbrella to setting up a Ltd company.

Guy said that would be easy assuming credit rating ok

Obviously it isn't although i finished my IVA early (2 yrs ago) the 6 yrs won't be done till next year so is still on credit searches.

I still cant get a credit card etc

Is there any banks that welcome business accounts ? I am not sure if the 'credit comment' would have a affect ?

I seem to recall that, some time ago, a forum member tried Barclays and was turned down initially, but, after a chat with the branch manager, was accepted.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Try http://www.mycashplus.co.uk/ for non credit scored otherwise a mainstream like Yorkshire Bank might help.

The credit comment does have an effect because although you are going Ltd they still want assurances on your personal finances - even if you dont want an overdraft etc.

Are you sure you want to go this way? It's not all it's cracked up to be.
IVA started March 2011, Completed March 2016 and certificate issued 11 days after final payment. It was not always easy but then some of the best decisions aren't.

Many thanks, it seems silly to stay with umbrella for tax reasons etc. Not seen cash plus interesting

'Card One Banking' also offer a 'no credit check' business bank account.
My opinions are just that: Based on my experience and being a self-employed IVA customer.
