Can an IVA make us draw our pensions ?

my husband and I have been paying into an I v a for the last 3 years we have at least another 2-3 years to go this year we get our state pensions but as we have to keep working would like to defer them so eventually when we do retire we get more. can our I V A make us draw them thank you

If this was not addressed at the beginning with increased payments I see no reason why you would have to draw down the pensions now. Forcing you to do so could mean you give up work so be of no benefit to anyone and this is the argument I would personally use.

Speak to your IP and advise that you would prefer to continue working rather than retire now and offer to increase your IVA payments by the savings in National Insurance contributions which cease on retirement age.
