Right..first post in forever but need help/advice/assistance!!
Bascially, we were fortunate enough to be able to do a full and final earlier this year and the payment was made at the end of February. Spoke continually to DFD throughout and after the process regarding our closure and the issue of the certificate etc and were informed that everything was in hand. When I spoke to DFD in August I was told that the closure process was pretty much done, they had everything they needed and it should only take 6 weeks or so for us to receive our completion certificate. We signed up to the new terms and conditions meaning they could apparently do their closure bit without PPI having been fully claimed and thought everything was in hand.
However, a few weeks ago we received a letter saying they needed an income and expenditure. I immediately e-mailed them asking why and was informed this was done as an 'administration error' and we could ignore this request. We then had a phone call saying the closure process could not be continued as Equity in Finance didn't have our completed PPI pack. I confirmed that we had completed and returned this pack TWICE already!! They said it had never been received and we would have to complete another pack. This was almost 2 weeks ago and no pack has been received. My partner has now received a phone call this morning chasing the income and expenditure back!!
To say we are frustrated is an understatement!! We were told probably 5 times that it was all in hand and they had everything they needed. We were told our completion certificate would be with us months ago and now they continue to drag it out through no fault of our own!!!
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!
When you make a mistake, don't look back at it long...the past cannot be changed. It is the present and future that counts

Sounds frustrating but probably caused by errors rather than anything sinister. I suggest you contact Yvette from DFD whose details are in the experts section and I am sure she will be able to help.
