Really naffed off . My boiler won't kick in and I have a foreboding feeling it is Kaput. How do you afford a new boiler in a IVA?[:(]

Oh dear. Are you on a service contract?. Well, you could ask your I.P for a payment holiday for 3 months to have a new one fitted. Also have a look at Everlasting boilers - they offer free installed Grade A boiler on a £9.99 per month deal for first 12 months then £38 per month over 10-14 years. There is no credit check so is appealing to those with previous debt problems. You pay a lot over the term but can but buy out at any stage. You save on efficiency and it's serviced every year and peace of mind.

Hi, I'm in a same position although I'm out of the IVA it's still not easy is it. Might have a look at what winter_blues has posted.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

This happened to us last year. We were given a grant for the full cost of a new boiler from a charity called Charis Grants. We had to complete a I&E and provide 3 months payslips. After providing 3 quotes we received a cheque for the most expensive boiler!
It took about 2 months in total and I was quite close to giving up and getting an Everlasting boiler but am so glad that I held out. We now have a brand new economical boiler which is guaranteed, so it is well worth looking at, for peace of mind.
