Hi. Sorry to hear of the break up.

Please have a chat with your IP to see if you can have a payment break for a couple of months while you sort out your finances.

Is the IVA yours alone, your husbands or do you have an IVA each ?

We had interlocking IVA's when my wife decided to leave and our IP was very supportive (GT). After the dust had settled it was agreed that we could finish our IVA's on payments made to date. Luckily, with PPI and extra payments early on we were in a good position with our return to the creditors.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Sorry to hear of your situation - seek your IPs support to review your income and expenditure and to consider your circumstances following this change....hopefully they will suggest a route forward that will allow you to continue in your IVA. Best wishes x

Sorry to hear that Syreeta.

As the others have suggested, please have a chat with your IP as they will have had this situation presented to them before.

Good luck hun and come and ask if you have any more questions.

So sad to hear things like this happening, especially at this time of year, but the IVA must be put down the list of priorities for you to be worrying about, after securing a maintenance payment from your husband and providing for the children and your essential outgoings such as the mortgage.

Chat things through with your IP - who are bound to want to be very supportive to you at such a difficult time.
