Could anyone point me to a letter/template for me to use for PPi claim back. I don't know any details except the card account number or loan account number, I'm unsure and unaware if ppi was ever sold. But because of pressure from DFD I need to investigate purely to shut them up.

Why don't you simply let DFD's chosen claims company to do this for you. Do you really want the hassle of being a very small fish in a big pond, and if you do make the claim yourself, DFD will want regular progress reports from you.
