Hi,

Has anyone else heard of the above company? They have found my name and address from somewhere and decided to write to offer me help in clearing my files and sorting out PPI (for a fee of course). They want me to pay £2 to the credit reference agencies to get my report then send it to them with eight stamps so they can sort out the rest for me. Cheeky muppets. Anyone else coming to completion please do not be tempted to go down this road. There is enough information on this forum to help you do it yourself! They will be getting a snotty email asking them to remove me from their mailing list.

I just felt they had a cheek. No one ever seems to leave you alone to get on with life. Always someone looking to get money out of you [:(!]

I sent them a very stern email when they sent me unsolicited mail despite being a member of MPS...to be fair they've bothered me no more though so I'm happy.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I actually think this service presents good value for money! If they are prepared to help you clear up your credit files for the cost of 8 stamps, then why not! Of course they are probably looking for PPI business, but you don't need to instruct them.

I can see the value in what you're saying Melanie but I think my main gripe is how they get their names and addresses without cross referencing to MPS (in my case)

I think that they have already been asked this question on the forum Lesley, but declined to answer.

I'm a bit confused.

Tyler Morgan Claims seemingly obtain their mailing lists by trawling the Insolvency Register.

Using Insolvency Register data in this way, however, is a breach of the Terms and Conditions of use.

If they are using it as a subscriber (which logic would suggest they are), they would appear to be in breach of Paragraph 6.3 of the Sales Agreement at http://www.insolvencydirect.bis.gov.uk/ ... ntract.pdf which states:

"The Subscriber shall:...
not use the Information for the purposes of directing advertising or marketing materials to any legal or natural person by the Subscriber or any of its clients
or associated bodies corporate. The Subscriber will impose on any legal or natural person to whom it supplies the Information an obligation not to use
the Information for the purposes of directing advertising or marketing materials and will take all necessary steps to enforce that obligation;"

I wonder if Tyler Morgan would care to respond?

Tyler Morgan have not posted for a while now but never say never as the forum is open to all but they often decline to comment to my direct questions about unsolicited mail to my house when I'm a member of the MPS.
