My partner has the IVA on his name only and the house has been on the market for over a year. We split but still share house, and finally it has sold. Solicitor has been dealing with the IVA company and they are dragging their heals in every way possible. They say they have sent faxes and letters and none arrive. Setlement is taking exceptionally ling time and contracts are ready to be exchanged. Is there anything I can do to help the process, I dont understand why this awful company are not keen to get this sorted. Their is enough equity on his side of the sale to pay them off. Can I complain to them for taking their time as the buyer could easily pull out due to the time scale. Thanks

get solicitor to escalate a complaint through the IVA firms regulators(several regulatory bodies exist so check which one the IVA firm in question fall under).
No real reason for them to drag their heels.
