Declan no longer posts on the forum and I don't know if he's still at DFD. Unfortunately you may have to speak to your regular contact at DFD.

Out of office assistant says he is out of the office until 12th November....I had to use a different email address for him ...I have asked him to look in if possible when he returns.

Thank you.

I did e-mail him using the details on his contact page but it failed. I will wait for him to return & hopefully he can help (PPI preventing closure of IVA, made a F&F in Feb this year).

Thank you,
Natalie

Unfortunately Natalie PPI is affecting a lot of people at the moment and closures are taking a long while with some companies

Hi,

Thank you for the response with this

I closed my IVA with a F&F in February this year.

I am looking to purchase my 1st house with my partner & I have found a company who are willing to look to loan (fingers crossed!) An appointment is booked in on Friday, they are fully aware of my IVA & have taken last 3 bank statements, wage slips etc into account, I am also providing a copy of my Credit Report.

I have looked at my credit report & note one of my creditors are showing on there as 'defaulted' Capital One. My main Creditor American Express & another Halifax are not showing on there at all. I have called Capital One to confirm I ended my IVA this February who advised Debt Free Direct haven't been in touch with them at all.

I spoke with DFD prior to calling Capital One & they advised 2 things, one they have posted a confirmation letter sometime this week to me to confirm the early closure (I told him it was only monday!!) and if needs be they can fax through some docs to Capital One to confirm it has closed. Though this doesn't seem correct to me - the very helpful Gentleman at Capital One advised DFD need to get in touch with Tix Insolvency who acts as their middle man as such. I am now on hold to DFD again (35 mins last time)... can anyone shed any light?! My concern is AMEX & Halifax also don't know I have ended the IVA early either... Do they have a middle man who I can get DFD to send docs to speak to such as Tix?

Any advise would be MUCH appreciated!! Kind Regards

Just got off the phone with them again - sadly I spoke with the same clueless guy! His response... 'never heard of TIX I will forward this to another department' He wouldn't confirm which department this would be, wouldn't CC me in on the r-mails & wouldn't give any time scales around when this would be done!

I just need one helpful staff member at DFD who knows what they are doing & are able to send a copy of this completion letter to AMEX, Halifax & Capital one ASAP! Oh & a copy to me!! It would only take a few mins of their time as the letter has supposedly been created with a copy on it's way to me :-(

I agree clueless and unhelpful!

Hopefully one or more of our posters will be able to give some constructive advice. I'm sorry I can be of no assistance but i can empathise with your frustration. x

Hi there

The customer care & complaints manager at DFD is called Judith Anderson , her email address is

sorry, no email addresses allowed ADMIN

Judith is great and very efficient , but please remember she is customer care manager for a very large company, so whilst she will always come back to you and never let you down, it can sometimes take her a couple of days to respond . This is in no way a a criticism of Judith, but she is very busy, but usually comes up trumps

2 wks have gone by since I got my completion Certifiacte and on checking with the insolvency service, DFD still havnt made time to send it, but a really helpful lady there suggested I fax them my copy, which I did

Good luck, I'm sure Judith will sort for you
Last payment made April 2012
Certificate received 1st Nov 2012

Thank you both!

I spoke with a lady at DFD on instant chat - she advised the guy I spoke to earlier was still in training & she isn't sure what letter has been sent if any!! I am due to receive a call at 12pm tomorrow from an experienced member of the team, lets hope they can help & if not I will drop an e-mail to Judith, thank you so much for her details... reassures me that there are a few good ones out there wanting to help!! :-)

Are you sure that your IVA has actually been closed - ie has your name been removed from the insolvency register? If so, this matter should not take too long to resolve now.
