Was told in January that as due to starting my IVA with debtmatters my creditors had been paid a divident each year. So once final payment was made it should only take at most a couple of months to get closure certificate out to me.
Was told I was down as priority case.
Made final payment beginning of February. Confirmed that I could cancel my standing order.
Enquired what was happening about my CC was told due to the VAT carry on my IP would be in touch to advise what was happenning. Never heard anything from him.
Come March got letter regarding PPI which replied to.
19th April get a letter saying that all funds had been received and my case had been sent to the closure team. It could take upto 6 month for certificate to be issued.
I had been told by one member of the customer care team that its not upto 6 month but its a minimum of 6 months from when goes to closure! and not from when I made my final payment.
A few times when phoned up instead of taking the free call back service I held the line to speak to someone and they would cut the call off.
When did get through it was I'll get someone to call you back as we cannot access your details on this computer.
On the occassion that someone did call me back it was yes your case is with the closure team. Would not pass me through to them so could find what the current status was. Was advised it had not received it in the next couple of months to phone back then!
Phoned up on Monday as that was the 6 months up from receiving the letter advising it would be up to 6 months.
Was told oh yes sir you should of had something by now. We've just updated our system so we are now doing things differently. Can you phone back in 10 days and the speadsheet should be updated by then.
Would be nice to finally get my IVA behind me instead of GT dragging their heels about it.
As surely it does not take over 8 months to pay out my final years payments to my creditors.
Got to admit if I'm supposedly a Priority case I'd hate to be a non-priority case. Or is it that the priorities get put to the bottom of the pile. Or that me being cynical. [:)]
