Recently finished my IVA (thank god) and has received correspondence from a company saying that I can claim PPI even though I was in IVA - is this true?

You can claim PPI or bank charges at any time. However, unless you have received your completion certificate any money you receive may still have to go into your IVA. Some IP's make you sign a declaration that you will never make any future claims once you have received your completion certificate..

You can definately make the claim Barry, if you genuinely feel that you were mis-sold the insurance, but this may be viewed to be an asset of the IVA in which case the money will need to be paid to your IP for the benefit of creditors - regardless of whether your IVA is closed or not. Check with your IP to be sure.
