hi all, I have completed my iva and am in receipt of my completion cert. I am currently trying to clear up my credit files, which is proving difficult with one creditor. Am i right in saying you should have not of received defaults post your iva start date ??

That's correct - all defaults should be corrected back to the date of IVA approval.
If they don't want to know then threaten to take it further.
Have you written to the data controller?

I have had dealings with data controller but to no avail, i then moved onto the complaints department. After 8 weeks of waiting they have finally written advising that all is rectified but after checking my credit report nothing has changed. I have spoke to the financial ombudsman and info commisioner today who have advised of their complaints procedure. I have also spoke to the creditor again and sdvised them of my findings and am now waiting for a call from somebody senior.
