Hi all,
Sorry if you've already answered this before.
I went into Halifax this morning to pay a cheque into my ISA savings account. The lady said that she wasn't even sure that I am allowed to have an account as I'm in an 'agreement'. She told me to go to the service desk, but I didn't have time to so said I would return later.
At the moment I have a cashplus account and I'm wanting a 'real' bank account. I got that one in desperation thinking I wasn't able to have a 'normal account'.
I need a new bank account - which is the best one??
Also, I have £8 in my savings account with Halifax - what's the chances of being able to withdraw it... They are included in my IVA.
Thanks

You should be able to withdraw that money - they can't touch it no you're in an IVA.
Halifax were simlarly unsympathetic with me as well!!
Try the Co-op for their cashminder account - do it in branch or over the phone and they are very IVA friendly and Barclays are ok as well.

I'm with natwest and they've always been fine with me.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
