Firstly as a newby I'd like to say hi to all on the forum!
I've just finished negotiating my variation and have agreed a final completion date of Jan 2013. I'm already thinking ahead regarding my credit rating but have no idea how I go about it. I've no doubt this has been posted a 1000 times (apologies) but I'm keen to learn who I need to approach, what I need to do and how it will help me in the future.
Like everyone I'd like to move on with my life after the IVA and want to make the appropriate plans for that to happen as best possible.
Any and all comments most welcome.

Hello and welcome
You will need to check all three credit agencies, Experian, Call Credit and Equifax. Any defaults registered after the date of IVA acceptance will have to be removed. You will need to wait until you get your completion letter though so no hurry there.
Bet you can't wait!!

Hi Harpic. I can't wait. I had 12 months of debt management before the IVA so in total it's will have been 7 years. However a lot has changed in that time and I need pointing in the right direction. Call Credit and Equifax are new to me so many thanks.
Will I have to pay these companies for me to start managing my credit rating? Will my creditors automatically romve my details?

You'll need to pay £2 to each agency to get a copy of your record and then send a copy of your completion letter, when you get it, to the data controller for any creditor that has defaulted you post IVA acceptance. They have to remove those defaults.
