Hi

Your net monthly income should be based on your basic gross wage less deductions and should not include any element of the monthly bonus. This will be picked up under the 50/50 rule for bonus/overtime etc

My income is based on monthly basic plus shift allowance and call out. Doesn't always work out the same each month.

Hi thanks everyone. I have sent a message to Melanie Giles on her website as the calculations from Grant Thornton don't seem right.

I'm sure Mel will be in touch as soon as possible to advise.

I don't think that questions directly to the experts on the forum are posted on the forum - this has never happened before.

I've seen your e-mail this evening Sinton, but I cannot really get involved with the work carried out by another IP firm. If you think that the calculations are wrong, then you must take this up with your own IP directly. Happy to give general advice, but specific advice is then crossing over the line of your relationship with your own IP. Hope you understand, and good luck in resolving the matter which I am sure that you will.
