You really are in safe hands Lesley and I'm sure everything will work out fine for you and Linda I sincerely hope that you get a satisfactory result from PP when it comes to your equity release time x
I know how you feel Linda - if we'd done an IVA in the first place in 2006 then we would possibly have finished now or, at the very least, have just 12 months to go.
I wish I'd found this forum then.
I'm finding it very hard going at the moment. I'm thankful that I have my friends on here, and those who are friends with me on Facebook, to keep me going!!

We had a pretty unevenful first 4 years, it wasn't easy but liveable. This final year is turning into a nightmare, every time we make a payment its one less to worry about. At the moment not a week goes by without a new disaater, still a week to payday, had to take my pot of 2ps to the supermarket change machine, found a few Euros from years ago, they'll be going to the post office tommorrow. Really fed up, don't want to take a payment break as thats just prolonging the agony, and the rest of this year is surrounded by uncertainty anyway. Moan over.
louiseh - sorry you sound as if you having a struggle at the moment ? Are you able to say why this is ? We all know most things have gone up (ie gas .electric ,food ,petrol, council tax etc etc) as you said you dont really want a payment break to be added on to the end - but perhaps discuss some of the issues with your IP/Case manager - to see if a solution can be found, IVA aint easy but it should not be a struggle either.
Yes I know what you mean Louiseh when you start rooting around for money!
Yes I wish I had found this forum sooner Jan but I did not until a couple of months into my IVA. I would have had more knowledge.
Unfortunately I burried my head in the sand before IVA until I could no longer keep shuffling money around. Then I got myself into such a state when I faced what a mess I was in that all I wanted to do was find away out. Of course the IVA did that for me but there is no easy way.
I would say to anybody who is worried about their debts to sort it out sooner rather than later.
I agree Linda - I buried our heads in the sand for a long time - hubby had no idea but I wish I'd sorted it earlier.
Louise - I hgpe you can manage to get through this last year.

Yes I know what you mean this equity release seems such a grey area and to be honest a bit of a waste of time because we know we are not going to be able to remortgage.
I think it is a part of an IVA that needs to be looked at.
Hope you get this sorted and let us know how you get on.
Don't feel guilty at all - you're doing the best you can.
