Tobymoz - you take up that offer of the caravan - the break will do you good.
Sometimes pills are great in the short term. I've suffered from depression in the past and Prozac has always helped me.
At least we are heading towards spring and summer and lighter nights.
Sharing from experiences of dealing with debt
The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively.

Hi - I'm glad your feeling brighter! Like a lot of people on here I know a fair bit about depression and there is tonnes you can do to manage your moods. Exercise often helps if you feel up to it so does getting into the fresh air...so a few lovely walks in Norfolk will do wonders!! Its my favourite county!! Other tips that work for me - try not to drink coffee (I think it jangles the nerves), wear bright colours, force smiles (apparently something about the muscles lifts your mood), do whatever it takes to get on with life as if there's nothing wrong (even if that means going to work and crying in the loos). I've always found that when I give in to the black dog it takes over and gets worse. So glad you're feeling more positive though and jealous you're off to Norfolk
agree with other posts that lot's of folk tackling debt hit a depression(of some level) at some point. i felt it's when your spirit gets tired. coming back up can take time but you will get there.
great tips from Broke. the main thing with drepression is tacking it before it gets too much of a hold, otherwise you've no spirit to take on self help measures. Mind have some helpful information on the web too.
fish oils - omega 3 are helpful,we take them. we have a seed mixture called omega 3 (breakfast mix i think)on our breakfast every day- Holland & Barratt shop, buy 1 got the 2nd pack for a penny. diet is v important, fruit etc[:)]
exercise is a big help if you can do it, you release "good" chemicals in the brain when you exercise which helps lift your mood.
if your Dr feels you need a bit more time then take it, get yourself to a better, more able to cope level before pushing too hard. you'll soon pick up.
post again if you dip, you're not alone
big hug,x
