I hope someone can help. I'm in the 5th year of my IVA hurray! I have another 10 months to pay. I pay £657 and after this I will owe around £5,000. Can I make an offer now that is less than outstanding amount if i can get someone to help me out, or do i have to wait til the end. I'm also not sure about equity release and how it works.

I don't have any confidence in my IVA company as i emailed them last August. they said they would treat it as a matter of urgency, and still no-one has contacted me.

Please help!

Which firm are you with as a matter of interest?

Whilst we can give very general advice on the forum, it is difficult to give advice on a case by case basis, which really should be provided by your own IP. It may be very possible to end the IVA at an earlier juncture by making an offer of full and final settlement, but you really need to run this by your own firm who have detailed knowledge of your case.

I personally would continue with daily contact until your question is answered by your own IP. Forum members can provide a general answer for you, but your IVA terms can vary and it would be unfair to offer to specific advice.

Hi and welcome.

If you're having trouble contacting the office staff then I'd try emailing your IP directly via this link:

You may get some answers.

If i owe around £11,000 do you think they would take an offer of around £8,000?

We do have a poster from DFD on here, hopefully Declan can pick up on this one and advise.
