Hi. This is first time I have posted. I'm looking for some advise please.

I have 18 months until my IVA is complete and I really can't wait! The problem I have is that my husband's IVA was running alongside mine and was due to finish at the same time. However, due to problems at work, he needed to take a 6 month payment break earlier this year.

My question is when my IVA completes and my husband still has to repay his 6 month payment break, will he have to do another yearly review? AS my IVA will have completed (hopefully) I will have extra disposable income. Will I be expected to pay this into my husband's IVA? Or will he simply carry on paying his normaal monthly payments for a further 6 months?
Many thanks for any advice.

Hi and welcome. Not sure about this one to be honest, I've an interlocking IVA and had a payment break but of the whole amount so we both made up the arrears.

Maybe one of our experts will be able to advise. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Hi and welcome from me as well. I've no idea either as to what will happen with this.

You need to sort this out with your IP.

Once your IVA has concluded, your disposable income will be yours to keep and ought not to be paid into your husband's IVA unless the specific terms of that require this to happen. Have a good read through the documents and ask your IP if you are still unsure.

Hope Melanie has given you the news you wanted to hear - well done for getting to this stage of your IVA - you are now almost in touching distance of saying "i've done it" and it won't be long before it comes true !
