When our IVA finished I sent a letter to the insolvency service and the three main credit agencies with a copy of my completion cert - within a fortnight all were updated ! It was worth the expense !

The IVA drops off your credit record 6 years from the start.
Not necessarily, this is only the case if the insolvency service has told the CRA it's completed before the 6 years is up.
Otherwise if the IVA runs for more than 6 years it will remain on your credit file until such time the CRA have been informed of its completion by the insolvency service.

Matrix I've learned so much useful information from your posts. Got an issue to tackle with nationwide re. Default dates but thanks to all your posts and templates I feel confident I can take them on. A few months ago i wouldn't have bothered. Thanks,
