Now that Egg belong to Barclays..........

I checked my Experian credit report, and Egg have defaulted me after the date of my IVA, the only people that have!

To get them to correct it, do I write to their old address, or will there be anew one now they've been bought by Barclays?

I would leave it for now - your credit rating is shot for six years anyway. Once your IVA is completed, then is time to contact them. One of my creditors has defaulted me every month since I was accepted.

Sorry Kallis, I should have said, my IVA was completed last year, and everything else on my record will drop off this August except the Egg one.

My fault as well - I should have remembered!

Write to the data controller for whoever holds the debt now. I'm sure TheMatrix will come on with those details - he's good like that! They should take off any defaults after the date of IVA acceptance.

Hi - I got that letter too and I think all the contact details are the same as before. Wouldn't hurt to copy the letter to Egg and Barclays though x

If the default is registered by Egg, then you need to write to the Data Controller at Egg not Barclays.

Not one of my creditors, so I cannot comment on how quick they are to update the files though.
