since starting iva last year i am behind on a couple of my direct debits and paying more each month to catch up. will this affect my payments of iva at annual review.

You will probably be fine as i've seen on the forum that paying extra in your payments is a good way of catching up on missed payments. It may not affect your next review but i'm sure someone will be along soon who has done this to verify this.

If your iva payments are up to date you have nothing to worry about-you will go through your i and e at review time so if your direct debits are up to date by then you will be fine.
If not speak to your ip if you are struggling to catch up on your direct debits.
and make sure you are claiming for everything you need for expenditure,if you are struggling speak to your ip now-reviews can be carried out at anytime-we have had 3 since we started end of August due to changes in income!!!!

Just explain this to your IP at review time, particularly the reasons for getting behind with the payments. They will understand, and could even reduce your IVA payments if there is a serious problem with the budget you set yourself last year.
