My husband and I have been in an IVA for just over 5 years out of 6. We have kept this from all family and friends until last month when we decided enough was enough and we told my parents. My parents apart from the shock wanted to help but could only offer £1000. We discussed this with out IVA company who said that we would need to put it in writing and also get parents to put in writing that it is a gift etc and that a meeting will be set up for creditors hopefully end of May. We sent our letter and then a few days later my parents sent their letter. We called IVA company today to see how things were going to be told 1. parents letter not arrived (i know it was sent, i posted it) and 2. They are being taken over and no IP working to process our offer. We are now being told that in a "few weeks the take over should be completed and to call them back to see how the new companies process works". We have not been notified of any of this yet although they have both our mobile no's and email address.

Is this right, can we be held in limbo like this?? Surely an IP would need to be in staff until takeover complete? I am at my wits end and emotionally burnt out and not sure how much more i can take. Please advise.

It may seem unfair but it should sort itself out very quickly. Contact the new IVA company and send them the info so that the variation can be called sooner rather than later.
