Broke, that's good to know :-) Don't think I will risk it for now, there is always the chance that they might still decide to take umbrage and close the account. To be honest ( though it's early days) I am quite happy with the co-op account, the only real advantage the Halifax has is the cheque book --- which they might withdraw soon anyway. My thinking might well change over the 5 years --- just don't like throwing away a 20 year association, not that it will do me any good in reality.

I am the same with shoes ... buy a new pair and still wear the old ones until they disintegrate !!!!!

Just keep a few quid in it Foggy - keeps the account open and the option is always there at the end of the IVA.

On that subject, I've had a pair of shoes now that have been sole and healed repaired a couple of times and much cheaper than buying a new pair and almost as good.

Then again I'm a bloke ;-)

My work shoes I got off Ebay about five years ago - still going strong and I wear them every day. They've never been soled or heeled either!

And I'm female!
