i was once told you can have has many mortgages has you want ..if you dont declare they dont know? is this true ?

There is always the chance that they will check, so it's just not worth the hassle.

As to having as many mortgages as you want - I doubt any of us could afford more than one for our own home and possibly one or two buy to lets if you have the income to sustain them.

I'm not sure how they can check once the iva is off the insolvency register and the credit reference agencies.

Unless your applying to a past creditor, who you had an arrangement with, I doubt very much they could find out.
We're willing to wipe the slate clean, give you a fresh start. All that we're asking in return is your cooperation.

I would give it a good few years before saying that I hadn't entered into any arrangements, just in case!
