Sheesh --- if my insurance went anywhere near that I would have to get the old legs in gear again! There are advantages to being wrinkly then !!!!

I think it's because she lives in London.

Hello - feeling more cheerful after speaking to DIAMOND. no good for the boys but one for the girls to remember. Half the price of the scarier quotes and no exorbitant rate for paying monthly...ivas are no problem either! I asked outright and we even had a little chat about the difficulties of getting insurance whilst in an iva and the ridiculousness of considering us a fraud risk (it would be offered to creditors as a windfall surely!!). Thanks for listening to my whinging x

Hi - it is my postcode foggy. It is twice the price of my last address which was central London and tree or more times the price than if I use my boyfriends address (where i am three or four days a week but my post goes to my London flat and I'm on the electoral role there so I want to play it straight). I'm not one of life's risk takers!! I live in a perfectly nice middle class residential area with lots of young families and less crime than the last place but it's more ethnically diverse...I can only assume this is how the insurers get around not being able to ask for ethnicity on the application forms anymore! But that's another story if thats the case...awful if it is.

I see, Bol. A problem most of us out in the sticks don't suffer from too badly (of course house insurance and flood risks are the bugbear here).

I know exactly what you mean about playing it straight, especially with car insurance. The last thing you want is for some silly white lie to invalidate the policy and the car ends up being cubed!
