My cards are now being passed on to debt collection agency and my iva is still not set up hope to have set up early new year are these people worse than the actual creditors and what can they do. Can they turn up on my door and demand anything really upset at mo because is never missed payments then got advised to miss payments so iva could set up but seems to of taken ages do the agency just work for the creditor

Hi,

These are just agencies employed by the creditors to try and collect money from you.

It is very rare, but not unheard of, that they will turn up on your doorstep. You don't have to speak to them and you don't have to pay them any money. For the most part they will go away quite happily when you tell them that you are proposing an IVA.
