Hi can someone please help me. Today we received a letter from santander about our arrears. my question is we settled our iva in august 09 and got the certificate of completion in may 10. should we still be receiving these type of letters and also it is showing interest being incurred as of nov 10. please can anybody advise what action i need to take. many thanks

No, send them a copy of the completion certificate and tell them to stop harrassing you.

This is an oversight on Santanders part. Write back to them with a copy of your completion certificate and details of your IVA.

andy if you complete your iva in november and dont recieve your cert of completion till the following year do you have to declare your income ?

I would think that unless they ask for it, then no. I would have been chasing them long before that.

As regards anyone contacting me once my IVA is completed, I would send them a letter with a copy of my completion letter. If they still persisted then I would tell them to bring it on and I'd see them in court!

so the above poster settled iva in aug 09 is it normal to wait so long for cert?

Some companies do take a while to send out the notices. It may be that there is a backlog with the company concerned.

And sue them for your time and emotional distress no doubt. And whats more the windfall will be yours [:)]
