Hi All,

My father is buying me a used car and my question is regarding the registration document, can I put it in my name even though I am in an IVA?

I think so - it does state on there that the registered keeper is not necessarily the legal owner.

No problem at all - but if your IVA fails and bankruptcy ensues the car will likely be taken if it is valued at more than £2,000 - so it might be better to register it in your Dad's name until the IVA has concluded.

What a nice Dad you've got. Enjoy your new car. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
