Hi
It is hard to say, creditors are quite wary at the moment and lending is quite restrictive.
I also have a car through Duncton and as Andy states they are an excellent company from start to finish.
I think that if you can build up a relationship with them over the years the APR will reduce.
Regards

Surely you could use a normal car company rather than have to use dunctons more than once?? When did your IVA finish Andy??

Yes I was wondering that Andy! Are you using Dunctons because the IVA still appears on your file or just had problems afterwards financing at normal rates?

My IVA is no longer on my CRF & I was shortly hoping to get normal high street rates finance on a new car!

Hi Paul

My files have 2 active accounts, nationwide current a/c & a catalogue account I opened post IVA.

There are also a couple of satisfied accounts as I had a couple of catalogue accounts pre IVA with zero balances & they were not being used, but they continued to report positively to the CRF until they marked them satisfied in 2007, so I believe that has gone in my favour!

Really hoping I will be able to finance a new car at 'normal' rates!

Given that your file looks clean,I assume you have checked all 3 companies that do credit reports,I would imagine that its time to take the plunge and see if a nomral lender will take you on!! Scary stuff.

The only way you will know MP is to give it a try.

With the defaults registered after the IVA was approved, you can write to the creditors once it's finished and tell them to remove them as they should not default once you've started.
