My husband and I are considering seperating.
I will move back to my parents but I cannot live there for free. How much will they allow me to pay my parents for me and my two children to live there?? Also I will still have to buy my own food and toiletries. This is really stresssful. My husband and I have a joint mortgage will I be able to go bankrupt but my husband keep the house? He cant afford to buy me out and there's a small amount of equity maybe £5000.
I am so stressed!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Kelly, I'm so sorry to hear that you and your husband are considering separating.

Are you in an IVA Kelly? If so you'll need to speak with your IP without delay to inform them of the change in circumstance and take case specific advice.

Not sure about bankruptcy and the house but someone will be a long soon who does know x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

I am also sorry to hear your bad news Kelly.

With regard to your rent payable to Mum and Dad, they would need to let you know how much they want you to pay. If this is done formally under a rental agreement, then your IP ought to accept the figures - but have you considered how this will all affect your overall financial position? I would put together a brief summary of what you expect your new income and expenditure to be and then send this to your IP so that they can advise you properly.
