Getting paid extra money is definatley a time when you would have to be up front with your IP (Molly16 is totally right on this point), however, as for a little bit of savings in a savings account isn't a problem. I managed to save about £300 a year by buying somethings a little cheaper. Just so long as it doesn't look like you have been dishonest or misleading regarding your outgoings. As for Ebay, I sold a few old things and didn't have any problems, just needs to be in moderation.

A bonus is completely different to you being able to make savings from your allowances.

With the former, you will be required to pay across a proportion of it, savings are yours to do with as you wish.

With Ebay, you can sell whatever you like, as long as you are not a business. I have a spare room of old clothes which don't fit me anymore and will be going on there as soon as I can be bothered to photograph them and put them on.
