Hi,
Check out the following link regarding Neil Morrisey's IVA:

http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/Showbi ... _Went_Bust

Bob couldn't fix it this time I guess and it certainly shows that it could happen to anybody, particularly in the current economic climate! Anyway, good luck to Neil in his quest to pay back all of his creditors!

I wonder which company he is with....:)

Thanks Rayb (this one: link deleted?)

How did you know who he was with?

*Sorry - you can't put links to insolvency companies in your posts*

It was from the good old Insolvency Register where we are all put -
www.insolvency.gov.uk.

And yes that looks like the company

There is a lot of it about, I've read news about a former Celtic footballer and former Radio 1 DJ bankrupted in the last few days.

This is the problem with some famous names - they earn loads of money, spend it unwisely and then wonder where it all went.

It's bad enough being insolvent when you are ordinary people living ordinary lives, but to have had the big houses, cars etc., it must be an eye opener to come back down to our level.

Very true Kallis3 - it must make his eyes water a bit! :)

I wonder if he is subject to the same budgetary constraints (e.g. CCCS-type guidelines)or whether the 'former' rich but still famous are allowed extra allowances to maintain aspects of their lifestyles......so that they can move in the circles that will allow them to attract the lucrative TV deals they're used to.....and ultimately provide a higher return to creditors.

My very good friend is acting as her Trustee in bankruptcy, and I can assure you she will not be getting away with anything that she is not entitled to!! Unfortunately, this does not make good news in the Sundays, but her Trustee is a very firm woman!

I don't doubt that as she has had her dishcharge suspended indefinetly, but she still seems to be doing ok.

It's her kids I feel sorry for. I saw them all at Dublin airport a few years ago. She was very loud, but her two girls were lovely. This can't be doing them any good, and I can't help thinking that they would be better off with their dad.

Things I read today. John Barnes (Liverpool and England footballer) has had his bankruptcy annulled. Herbie Hide (former world heavyweight boxing champion) is now bankrupt.
