Hi, How do you know if you are using the right IVA company? I got my paperwork today and not sure if I am with the right company or are they just going to take my first two payments.

I dont want to loose my house if we get rejected by companies such as Northern Rock where I have my morgage and a unsecured loan. I know my morgage wont be part of my IVA but my loan will be. Will Northern Rock want to take my house. If I sign these papers and get rejected the only position left is to loose it al.

Any advise will be useful!!!
Thanks

Hi there and welcome to the forum

In my experience Northern Rock are generally supportive of IVAs providing that your circumstances meet their specific criteria. What advice has the IP given you in this regard?

It's not too late to change companies if you're not happy. Visit www.iva.com for a list of companies and reviews. Give one or two ring for free and impartial advice.

You need to make sure that you are totally happy with the company you use as 5 years is a long time if you have problems.

Hi Melanie,
I have just filled out your enquiry form on your website.
I was told that Northern Rock can be difficult. Hopefully you will see my form soon.

N Rock have criteria as do most creditors and Melanie will not prepare a proposal that she is not confident will be accepted. If your case does not meet the requirements of N Rock Melanie will point you in the right direction. Ultimately you should not lose your home if you are able to afford and maintain the payments to the mortgage company. Best of luck.
