hi all. wopuld you beleive our washing machine has packed up today. no warranty on it. as i have only just started the ball rolling to see if we can get accpted for an iva, can i get a washing machine on catalouge & can this be added. i dont like to ask this because it sounds like im fiddling. but with 4 kids & me & my wife this is going to be difficult. ne advise please as im not sure wot to do.

To buy a washing machine with no intention of paying for it would be unwise to say the least. If you have not had your IVA approved you could save up any spare cash to buy a replacement and make no token or DMP payments to creditors. If the IVA has been approved you could request permission to miss a payment or two to buy a new machine or you could buy it from a caralogue and repay it over a term. There is nothing against obtaining credit in an IVA if you have the permission of the supervisor.
